Mulgrave, The °ÙÐãÖ±²¥ of Vancouver, is a gender-inclusive, multicultural International Baccalaureate World School offering Preschool (for three and four year olds) to Grade 12. Our campus, at the base of Cypress Mountain, provides students and faculty with breathtaking ocean views and access to nature. Purpose-built spaces inspire our diverse community to develop interpersonal and intercultural skills, attitudes, and values that allow our students to thrive, contribute, and be happy anywhere in the world. Our graduates have been accepted at post-secondary institutions around the globe, including UBC and McGill in Canada, NYU and UC Berkeley in the United States, and Amsterdam and Oxford internationally.
A Focus on Learner Confidence
As a maturing international school, Mulgrave reflects deeply on its purpose, moving beyond excellence in teaching and learning to education that drives meaningful impact and fosters confident learners. With a strong foundation, we now focus on how to best develop character, values, and wisdom-oriented skills that are vital in an AI-driven world. When every student knows they are consistently making progress, self-esteem also flourishes, which is foundational in nurturing young people as good human beings. This development is supported by our outstanding teaching and learning principles and practices linked to the best global research.
A Future-Facing Model for Education
Our strategic direction embraces complexity and global insight to guide students toward solving real-world problems and serving the greater good, ensuring our school's purpose remains relevant, enduring, and transformative.
In support of this effort and the evolution of the IB Diploma Programme, Mulgrave is one of the four pilot schools around the world tasked by the International Baccalaureate Organization to co-develop and pilot IB Systems Transformation: Leadership for just and sustainable futures. This transdisciplinary, experiential, project-based course will be available to Mulgrave students starting in the 2025–26 school year.
Our Culture: A warm, vibrant, supportive community
Developing a strong aptitude for learning, service, and leadership is inherent to our school's ethos, as is a strong culture of care and support. Mulgrave is highly valued for our positive community spirit, enriched by the diversity of families from around 40 countries, and our vibrant learning atmosphere. Experienced teachers from around the world provide a comprehensive, appropriately challenging, and personalised IB curriculum to an equally ambitious and capable student body.
