With students representing more than 30 nationalities, SEK °ÙÐãÖ±²¥ Santa Isabel offers a vibrant, multicultural environment in the heart of Las Letras, Madrid's historic cultural district. As the only school in central Madrid offering the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme, students learn through real-world experiences, with their classroom extending beyond school walls to include museums, theaters, galleries, neighborhood gardens, traditional markets, and Retiro Park.

SEK Santa Isabel offers Early Childhood and Primary Education (3–12). Our innovative educational model is grounded in concept exploration, inquiry-based learning, and the development of skills that promote critical thinking and creativity. We take pride in our engaging, close-knit learning community, and, we are deeply committed to providing personalized learning experiences in a safe, nurturing environment that supports the growth of emotional intelligence.

At SEK-Santa Isabel, an active learning approach transforms classrooms into flexible, dynamic learning environments where students take the lead in constructing their own knowledge. Through methodologies such as Design Thinking and Design for Change, students uncover their talents and develop key skills like collaboration, creativity, and innovation.

These approaches empower students to design and structure their own learning experiences, aligning goals, needs, and resources in projects that bridge academic content with real-world relevance. Two standout initiatives include: Passion Pursuits, whereby students discover and advance their own learning interests. Another is Learning Paths, named a best practice by Harvard's Project Zero project, where teachers and students design curricular learning activities using spaces and resources from the local community of the neighborhood and city.

We believe that learning has evolved for good. At SEK-Santa Isabel, we empower students with the skills they need to navigate future challenges, fostering global citizenship and international mindedness.

Students at SEK-Santa Isabel benefit from a wide range of activities linked to music, the arts, sports, and their individual learning needs. They can also choose from an extensive selection of extracurricular activities. The school features a spacious on-site gym and outdoor facilities for swimming, tennis, padel tennis, football, and basketball. Our Stellar Programme is designed to enrich the personal development of high-achieving students.

SEK Schools are pioneers in the implementation of International Baccalaureate Programmes, with an educational model rooted in a long-standing tradition of innovation. Since their founding in 1892, they have consistently ranked among the top schools in Spain.
