Summer at Institut Montana: What happens when teens interview a Hollywood star?

Posted on 15th Aug 2025 in School news

Imagine being 12 years old, sitting next to your friend, and chatting live with a Hollywood actor—while thou-sands of people around the world are watching. Sounds unreal? Well, it actually happened at Institut Mon-tana’s Summer Camp this year!

Joined by kids from all over the world

One of the young participants had a live conversation, and a couple of others had a chance to talk with Holly-wood actor and comedian Jason Stuart (Becoming Karl Lagerfeld, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, among oth-ers). These extraordinary opportunities were part of their Radio M workshop, led by the school’s alumnus and well-known US radio mentor/broadcaster Cary Harrison. Under Cary’s guidance, the kids learned how to speak confidently, ask meaningful questions, discuss a topic and communicate clearly. When it was time to go live, they were not only prepared- but they also radiated confidence.

But that wasn’t the only highlight of the Summer Camp 2025 at Institut Montana.

From July 13 to 26, kids from countries such as Lithuania, Ukraine, Croatia, United States, China joined us on their beautiful Zugerberg campus for two exciting weeks. Mornings were spent in English or German language classes and afternoons were filled with creative workshops and fun outdoor activities. Institut Montana’s Sum-mer Camp was so popular that some participants returned for the second time. One kid even came back to join for the third time!

Fun workshops, activities and excursions

In addition to outdoor activities such as tennis, dodgeball, badminton, the kids took part in hands-on projects such as science experiments and ice cream making. This year, they also went on multiple fun excursions, explor-ing Switzerland’s famous mountains and lakes in Lucerne, as well as natural attractions like Seilpark Rigi. They also had a great time at Alpamare Waterpark, Tempodrom's Go-karting, the Swiss Museum of Transportation, and the Aesbach Chocolate factory.

Evenings brought more fun and relaxation: a spa night, cozy sleepover sessions, lively barbecue dinners. The whole two weeks culminated in their grand farewell celebration, where the kids shared performances, watched video highlights, and received awards—all in front of a cheering community.

Two weeks of fun and learning

Summer Camp at Institut Montana is more than just fun. It’s where young people build confidence, discover their talents, and connect with others from around the world. The Hollywood interview was just one incredible moment in a summer full of learning, laughter, and discovery. Everyone is excited to see what unforgettable ex-periences next year will bring!
